Mudgee



Mudgee was originally settled by European settlers in the 1820s. During and after the goldrush of the 1850s which occurred in the areas near Mudgee, the population increased and many buildings were constructed including several churches, the town hall, several banks, and a school of arts.

Just half an hour's drive from Mudgee is another town with many old, 19th century buildings in excellent condition: Gulgong.
